God’s Gift

I have mostly found that begging children are happy even if they are smiled at. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from God; I agree that gifts should be given out to children for special deeds so that it doesn’t become their habit to lie and beg. Never give money to child beggars unless you want them staying on the streets forever. As their parents force them to beg by not allowing them to go to school. Either give them something to eat; they are not from those lucky gift of God to always get nourished food like our babies.

I still remember that child vividly. He was a little boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old, who came begging to us for food. We asked him what he wants, thought for some time then he said, “I want to have Idli”. So bought him a plate of idli (preparation of rice), he took that and went away no smile on his face nothing. He looked back at us many times but no expression. He went at the top of the staircase and sat down, and then saw his elder brother may be 10 or 11 years old came with a burger (vada pav) and sat next to him. Both the brothers shared food with each other and the li’l one pointed us out to his elder brother. When I was about to leave from there I just waved at him. And the smile on his face was so energetic and happy, which made my day.

So basically these kids need love and care from us. An inventive, way to be kind. Children who live and work on the streets are especially vulnerable to physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Charity treats those who receive it and hardens those who provide it.

Someday these under privileged kids will also find their Glory Of The Stars

  1. What a beautiful gesture on your part and true that their smile is what makes us think about their amazing souls. I wish more people can make a difference like you did.
