1. Raw Potato


Potato is known to reduce dark circles, blemishes and pigmentation. Keep thin slices of potato over your eyes or else grate and extract the juice of a raw potato, soak a couple of cotton balls into it and apply under your eyes. Allow the juice to sit for 10-15 minutes. Repeat twice daily for a few weeks until you see the dark circles fade away

2. Tomato


Tomatoes contain lycopene which is an anti oxidant and helps in skin lightening. Apply a paste of a small tomato and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice under your eyes and keep it for 15 minutes. Avoid using this trick if you have dry skin.

3. Cucumber


Cucumber is an old and widely known home remedy for dark circles. It works as an astringent and lightens the dark areas under the eyes. Keep thin slices of cucumber over your eyes for 15 minutes daily. Cucumbers also have a soothing and refreshing effect.

4. Green tea bags


Green tea is rich in antioxidants and tannins. This helps in skin lightening. Boil a tea bag in half a cup of water, let it cool and then keep it over your eyes for 15 minutes.

5. Almond oil


Almond oil is one of the best remedies for the delicate skin around the eyes. Regular use of almond oil will help you reduce your under eye circles. Before going to bed, apply almond oil over the dark circles, massage it into the skin and leave it overnight.

  1. Hi! 🙂 There is another very good remedy: Centaurea cyanus’ tea. Let it cool and put it on 2 cotton pads and keep them over your eyes for 10-15 min. every day. You will be amazed about the results. 🙂
